Dear 4Cs Community,

All of us at 4Cs are so sad for the devastation and loss in our community. We have staff members and local child care providers who have lost homes and others who have been evacuated. Our hearts go out to everyone. We are a strong community and together we will get through this!

We are following all evacuation guidelines for our sites and will reopen when allowed. 4Cs office and all preschools are closed until Sunday, October 15th, at which time we will reassess. Please continue to follow us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/sonoma4cs)   as we will provide updates as they become available.

Thank you and please stay safe!
Melanie Dodson, Executive Director

Resources and Information For Providers
Please note the following important announcements from the 4Cs R&R Department:

Due to the state of emergency we are currently facing with the wildfires, all workshops scheduled for this week and next week are cancelled and will be rescheduled.

We are aware that many of you have lost your homes/businesses in this tragedy and we are heartbroken for your loss. Our thoughts and love are with you and your families. We know paperwork should be the last thing anyone needs to worry about at a time like this, but it is important that you file an Unusual Incident Report within 7 days of your closure (LIC 624B for FCCH, LIC 624 for Centers) if you have been evacuated or your home/business was lost in the fire.

Additional information about responding to and recovering from a disaster can be found at: http://cchp.ucsf.edu/content/disaster-preparedness in both English and Spanish.

Information about how to support children during this traumatic time can be found at: http://cchp.ucsf.edu/sites/cchp.ucsf.edu/files/Young-Children-and-Disasters-Note.pdf (English) and http://cchp.ucsf.edu/sites/cchp.ucsf.edu/files/Young-Children-Disaster-Note-SP.pdf (Spanish).

If you have not been physically affected by the fires and are open with spaces available to take families who have lost their child-care please contact Lorie Siebler at lsiebler@sonoma4cs.org with information about your program so we can share with parents in the community.

If you have tragically lost your child care home or business, please inform the 4Cs Child Care Resource and Referral, as future resources may be available.

We will continue to update our Facebook page with more information and resources as we receive them: https://www.facebook.com/sonoma4cs/

Our thoughts and love go out to you all during this devastating time.
