Youth Service America (YSA) BE FEARLESS BE KIND Grants give young people an opportunity to put their empathy, passion, and creativity into action as they help make the world a better place. Grants of $500, $1,000, or $2,000 will be provided to nonprofit organizations and K-12 schools throughout the United States to support youth-led community projects that take place through December 15, 2017. These projects should address meaningful local and global issues through Awareness, Service, Advocacy, and Philanthropy (ASAP). Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis through October 31, 2017. The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships, funded by the
Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, recognize students who are driving awareness and mobilizing youth to be catalysts for innovative models and solutions to eliminate hunger in America. Applicants must have demonstrated ongoing commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States within the last 12 months. Additional consideration is given to students working to fight childhood hunger. Students between the ages of five and 25 are eligible to apply. The winners receive a $5,000 scholarship, as well as a $5,000 grant made in their name to the hunger-related charity of their choice in their local community. In addition, regional honorees receive a $1,000 grant made in their name to the hunger-related charity of their choice. Deadline for online applications is

HAMPTON LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
YOUTH are encouraged to attend this series of courses designed to teach leadership skills with practical exercises that are designed to make you use the skills we are attempting to convey. This is designed as an interactive course, and we look forward to bonding with the class and drawing on all of our experiences to create an environment where everybody who attends will contribute to the course.
